Lots of laughter and appreciation when Prof Tan Chee Lay, Principal Investigator of the research project & Member of the Promote Mandarin Council, shared the 2-volume publication was 5 years in the making, contained more than 1100 Singapore Mandarin terms, and weighed around 5kg!
We can identify with the localised context that the publication had been written, which also serves to further educate one who may be new to Singapore or who is keen to learn more about our unique Singapore Chinese culture.
